The Refrigeration
3.0 load calculation program is a software
package that provides refrigeration cooling
loads for refrigeration boxes per 24-hour
period. It contains inputs for roof and wall
dimensions, lighting, people, infiltration,
equipment, product and container types, and
safety factors. Outputs include a full load
break-down by roof, wall, people, container
loads, and more. In addition, other out-puts
include psychometric characteristics and a
summary output. The software includes a full
ASHRAE database of different food and container
types and their load contributions (sensible
and latent). Refrigeration 3.0 utilizes ASHRAE-based
HVAC tables and formulas for calculating loads.
Many of the formulas are derived from the
ASHRAE 1994 Refrigeration Handbook, Chapter
26.
