| Features |
| The following is a
list of features available in ToolBox 3.0: |
Calculator
This is an all-purpose calculator that can
be accessed when in any windows program. It
performs simple and complex mathematical routines,
including simple algebraic equations.
|
Units Convertor
Includes 100s of conversion units, including
English-Metric conversions.
|
Duct Sizing
Sizes rectangular, round and oval duct based
upon inputted cfms, pressures and velocities
of air, ambient temperature and elevation.
Duct weights can be determined based upon
various gauge metals and duct lengths.
|
Life-Cycle Analysis
Calculates simple mortgage payments, simple
cash flows, and simple paybacks based upon
investment costs, interest rates, terms of
the loan, and a number of additional inputs.
|
Psychrometrics
Simple Psychrometric: Calculates
eight psychrometric characteristics based
upon any two inputs.
Mixed Air Psychrometrics: Calculates
the mixed air properties of two separate air
streams with different psychrometric characteristics.
|
U-Value
Calculates U-Values and R-Factors for a number
of wall and roof constructions.
|
Fan Curve Analysis
Calculates rpms, cfms, and static pressures
for a variety of performance variables.
|
Fan Cost Analysis
Estimates fan operating costs for various
fan types. It includes inputs such as power
costs and air flow data.
|
General Pipe Sizing
Calculates pipe sizes for various schedule
pipes and fluids. Inputs include pipe types,
roughness factors, fluid densities and flow
rates.
|
Gas Pipe Sizing
Calculates gas pipe sizing for both high
and low pressure systems based upon a number
of inputs including gas consumption, pressure
loss, gas temperature, nominal pipe length
and more.
|
Quick HVAC Loads
Quickly calculates a rule-of-thumb HVAC load
for a residential or commercial facility based
upon a minimum number of inputs.
|
Wire Sizing
Calculates equip-ment wire sizes by specifying
the ampacity, circuit voltage, and other values.
